Actor Gerald Anderson finally spoke up on his controversial relationship with Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo.

On the July 29 episode of her show “Sarah G Live” Sarah cleared that it wasn’t her mother who asked Gerald to stop pursuing her. This was after reports surfaced that Gerald stopped wooing the singer because of her parents.

“Ganito na lang po, marami po ang lumabas at narinig. So kung ano po ang nabasa niyo at napanood niyo sa TV, kayo na po ang bahala na isipin niyo kung ano ang totoo doon at hindi. Kumbaga ang pinaguusapan natin ay something personal. We have no right to talk about other people,” Gerald told ABS-CBNnews.com in an interview on Tuesday night.

“Sa akin, bigyan po natin ng respeto at privacy ang pamilya ni Sarah at sana sa akin din. Like I said friends kami. ‘Yun na ‘yon,” he added.

Gerald and Sarah were the special guests at the 25th anniversary celebration of Cebuana Llhullier.

During Tuesday’s event, Gerald even kissed Sarah and made their fans happy by performing a duet together.

Gerald also kissed the singer twice — one on her hand and the second one on her cheek.

“Nakakatuwa ang reaksyon ng tao,” he said, adding that what is important now is that he has maintained his friendship with Sarah.

Despite everything that happened, Gerald said Sarah will always be special for him.

Asked if he’s still single, Gerald replied: “Siyempre single po ako. I am single at hindi din ako nagmamadali…. relax lang po ako.”
